Yet another reason why 'those 2' should never be allowed in any of our leagues or cup competitions, clearly Fergie is aware of exactly what could happen if he does it, and would rather him silence the crowd through his football than provoke a baying mob.
I'm fairly certain that Arthur Boric (the holy goalie) used to have a pre-match ritual ?

Can't really believe that he does this at away grounds though, and Fergie bringing it to everyones attention will no doubt mean that he faces are a barrage of abuse at every away game, to a football supporter home turf is sacred and they will soon regard this as something that they don't have to put up with. Epext the boo's to ring out whenever he does this from now on... he could do it in the changing room or when they warm up rather than immediately before kick off.

I understand a huddle or some [Poor language removed] like that getting the bird, but what sort of brain dead piece of flotsam would take exception to a religious ritual...apart from Rangers supporters that is?

If an Everton manager told an Everton player to knock his beliefs on the head to assuage a baying mob he'd be rightly bollocked for it.

The sad thing is that no-one (including me. and SAF obviously) has any doubt that it will kick off.

I mean the lads only praying, and he does it always. I'm fairly sure that protestants pray to the same god. It's not exactly the same as Gascoigne doing his dikchead orange lodge thing in front of the Celtic fans, which was intentional provocation.

Rangers fans believe the opposition are praying to the Fenian God. They dont like idolators with their Roman ways.
