2025/26 Jarrad Branthwaite

How bout we just give him a year off to chillax spend some time in Dubai and Ibiza resting his hamstring and we just sign Senesi to cover his place next season
I mean, on the second point we should be absolutely all over him. To think Spurs are still a much more attractive proposition than Everton despite two consecutive relegation battles is a sad indictment on our club.

They’re a London club, best stadium in the league, can pay more than us, recently won a Euro trophy, what are you even on about, of course they’re more attractive.

We’ve just had like 5 seasons of talking relegation with nowhere near the recent level of success in terms of league and cup finishes as spurs. It’s not that much of an indictment.

No — but we should be trying our luck. Spurs in their current state don't have a lot on us.

They never have, in the full scheme of things, but just like we'd all like consistency out of players, they'd no doubt prefer that same thing from their employer if they can get it. I certainly have no soft spot for Spurs but, unfortunately, they've been more stable than us the last 20 years (6.45 avg league placing) than us (10.2).

That's 20 years...doesn't seem like a lot the older you get but when your whole lifespan is +/-18-27 years it can seem like you're talking about pre-history. There's a lot of trash to put in the bin at Everton, unfortunately...the smell can still linger though.

Great post mate. I get it: These young footballers — Everton have been crap their entire lives.
