2025/26 Jarrad Branthwaite

Really? I think not having a ball playing centre back is a glaring hole in our set up. We’re playing with Burnley’s 2 low block CBs from 10 years ago, they really don’t have much composure on the ball. But that’s not the type of players it is what it is, but it means it’s difficult to get the ball from CB to CM in a positive way
I think we'd be better with him sure, for Tarky or Keane I don't know.
But 'completely knackered us'? No
Wasn't long ago(days in fact) people were saying we don't need to rush him back.

We have other issues too

What happened to him hopefully being back a couple of weeks ago?
Was that just hyping hope or haven't we a clue about the extent of his latest of several injuries?
No injury recovery is ever an exact science with a set-in-stone timestamp on it, but we also don't *know* the full details of his injury situation despite what relatively generic information the club offer in public (which is exactly what you'd expect them to do) and they'd be fools to put a timeframe on it.

The injury could be more significant than thought, it could take longer to heal than normal, it could be the club not wanting to rush a valuable and highly-paid asset back quickly - and many other variables or possibilities. I've no doubt the club will take their time with him, and only when the medical dept feel he's ready will he be back. I'd be suprised if that was anytime this calendar year.
