He’s looked so sloppy and clumsy since he’s returned.
We all know his level and ability, but doubt we’d need to worry about big clubs coming after him this summer on current form

He was playing a left back midfield role tonight & made two mistakes, one led to their goal - Other than that he did well in a new role ....
Yeah he’s doing this a lot of late, just wandering out of position. Maybe he’s trying to take the game by the scruff of the neck, maybe he’s just fed up, but he needs to keep his tactical discipline.

To be fair I think he is a far better player than Tarkowski. I think the mistakes tonight were a result of forcing the issue a bit, Maybe trying to impress a bit too much. The thing is if we had better players in front of him and better movement off the ball he wouldn’t have been gettting in these situations.

Not at his best lately but it must be demoralising for him, the other defenders and Pickford when they’re conceding 0 goals or 1 goal in most games and having virtually nothing to show for it. I’m not going to blame anything on the defenders until we can score a goal or two.

He moved over to let our other left back go more forwards - plus do his own job ....
He hasn't been on good form lately.
But watch mykolenko 's positions they are all over the place.
It drags Branthwaite
out of position to often.
Mykolenko Gets caught upfield to often , not bad as a straight defender , but hasn't the tools or the intelligence to play the attacking side of the game
Honestly I watch him and think about 4 or 5 times a game thinking what are you doing there, normally upfield leaving acres of space behind.
Leaves Branthwaite out of position or making challenges he should be making .
No real outlet in front of him so he is trying to force the game.
Needs to just concentrate on being a centre half and his own game.
Might need taking out of the odd game to reset.
