I can see McNeill doing ok at Forest, putting in crosses for Wood and Awoniyi

I think Dyche plays the Brazilian doesn't he ?

….he preferred McNeil to Dibling on Saturday which doesn’t say a lot for Dibling. At this point you’d hope Dibling would be a shoo-in, the fact he wasn’t even first choice behind Ndiaye reflects how disappointed they must be with him.

Maybe we see him start next time given McNeil’s performance.

This is a good point. We all know Moyes likes a safe pair of hands, and McNeil is probably that option for him. Not necessarily a reflection on Dibling who is still very young.

Lampard had completely frozen Doucoure out, and when Dyche came in he was straight in the team and scoring important goals.

Forest are not signing Dwight McNeil, they have faster and better players with better output in those positions already.

Summer signings like McAtee and Ndoye haven't worked out for them at all. The owners a nutter, Dyche is more than capable of convincing him to sign McNeil.

Both of those players are better than McNeil. Forest aren’t signing McNeil.

Ndoye has had some fitness issues and McAtee was always an odd signing as he was never getting ahead of Gibbs White who is a better player and their key man.

The only player I think we could really sell in Jan would be Patterson; shifting him and signing a proper right back would be great business. Squad is sooooo thin at the moment I really don’t think we can spare any other bodies. We would definitely need to immediately sign replacements if we did shift anyone else out

Oh there is a player there alright, although I do think some are going slightly OTT about how highly rated he actually is. But there is defo something there.

I personally haven’t seen a single glimpse of a player there. I reckon Moyes and his coaches know better than us/me though.

Yeah this can happen. Benitez with Rodriguez and Digne before that.

Whilst I understand managers need to pick the most trusted XI, I think it's also on them to make the most of the resources available to them, and it would be remiss for managers in general to become dogmatic and put the blinkers on regarding favourites/those unwanted. it never ends well when they do this
