If we'd have brought Xhaka in and played him in midfield with Gana, I guarantee you at least 138% of this fanbase would have gone into meltdown because our Dads Army central midfield had a collective age of elevenhundredandfive, not to mention all the shouts of "we're supposed to be building for the future!"

Troy Parrott is one I have been crying out for ages, before those two international games.

Spurs let him go despite a half decent record at the academies. He has got a great eye for a goal and that is all we need now. Word has it he is a Evertonian aswell.

I thought there was a special pre-existing clause in the loan where they had that option though? I could be wrong I don't think we have a similar provision baked into the deal for Rohl

Also Moyes seems to adore Rohl even with his susceptibility to injury, I think Moyes would opt to retain him

Toney will need to be playing in the Premier League if he’s to have a chance of going to the World Cup. Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle, Villa either don’t need him or he wouldn’t be a guaranteed starter. We should be in the mix as we can offer him a start every week which is what he’ll be looking for.

Wages will be a lot but if he scores the goals that get us finishing in the top 10 then it’s money well spent.

i would be shocked if anyone whose family has been subjected to racist abuse from a set of fans, would ever choose to then go and join that team.

He is exactly the type of midfielder we are missing. Unfortunately there isn't really an incentive from lyon this time to let the player go.
