January Transfer Window 2026

….265 games, 0 goals says everything you need to know about Hibbert. A very lucky lad to play so many top flight games in an era of big money.
Different style of defenders esp fullbacks in that time, agree that now wouldnt really be what we need. Would be a more natural option at fb but now is about doing both defending and getting forward. Play like wingers now because of the wingers cutting in more into the box. Is why i would like the robinson rumours to be true if could get him at the right price

I think it’s fair to say that our best in the business recruitment team have had a nightmare start.

Apart from KDH and Grealish it was an awful summer window as it stands.

KDH was phenomenal last game. However, If Moyes puts him back at 10 then this will also be a failed signing.

Grealish is a £15mil loan signing yet Moyes commented we arent in the market for £60mil players (McTominay). So were ok to give £15mil for a seasons loan but not to invest - not saying McTominay - in high long term quality.

A very odd window neither focusef on signing quality first 11 players nor signing young players to develop.

A mix and (not really) match approach.

I am sick and tired of is signing players that either aren't good enough , not ready or injury prone.

Robinson , yeah great he can keep Merlin company in the physio room.

Everton never learn.
No we don't but its not easy getting players too come to us. We got turned down by a hell of a lot of players during the summer. I know its not a popular view on here but many modern day players are not going to want to play under Moyes given the way he sets a team up. Its why the striker thing is difficult, modern day strikers don't want the ball launched at chest/head height yet that's how Moyes sets up and won't change.
