January Transfer Window 2026

I can’t help but feel Garner is becoming a bit overrated by other clubs fanbases. He’s a tidy enough player who does a good job filling in where needed but he’s nothing special, really.

We need to massively increase the quality in the middle of the park. We need faster, more powerful players who are better on the ball than Garner is. Garner is good at closing passing lanes and recycling possession but if we really want to push on we need midfielders who can really put it on the opposition and dominate games.

There’s far too many gaps between Garner Gana and KDH that better teams expose.

mctominay is a mad shout, he would be great but can’t see why he’d leave

i think we should go all in on Parrott

two feet, quick, tall, knows where the goal is and good technically

was always a major talent, just took him a while to find his feet in the senior game

if we could move on mcneil and maybe beto it should free up the cash to sign him too

Agreed - “two feet” is always a bonus, preferably one left and one right!! 😂

Just can't see that happening other than a club paying his tax bill for him.

He will probably ride it out till late summer and then leave without paying any tax.

I keep reading he might come back to try get in the England WC squad but unless he came back in January and scored 5 goals in his first 3 games or something just can't see Tuchel even noticing him.

If there’s any truth to the McTominey rumours, then I reckon it would be for more like £50 million pound (56 million Euros) than 60 million pound. He is much better than that Onana that we flogged to Villa at a similar price.

I wouldn’t be selling Garner to facilitate it, but Iroegbunem was effectively acquired on near enough a free transfer, and could fetch some decent money for the transfer kitty. We have Armstrong coming through, so selling Iroegbunem wouldn’t be too much of a loss.

Who knows what will happen with Toney, but I hate the way some Evertonians immediate reaction is to dismiss ourselves and big someone else up.

Same with McTominey; you must never have dealt with people that have moved away from home before. The novelty of dealing Mario and Luigi every day doesn’t last forever, and some people just prefer to be closer to home, especially if said home happens to be a mansion in the most prestigious part of Cheshire.

I dunno, besides Kane, the choices are limited, especially with Watkins not really in form. Definitely a space in the squad for a Prem striker that scores a few goals.

Am I missing something or did it not end too well between him and Frank at Brentford? I remember it being quite a bitter saga with him being dropped towards the end.
ah ja? missed that. maybe there's a chance then, although if the WC is the motivation you'd assume he'd need something in the way of unofficial assurance from Tuchel that it was going to be worth his while taking such a hit..
