January transfer window 2024

Difficult to see what moves we will make in Jan unless and until the 777 and the appeal situations get resolved.

If 777 get approved during the window, wouldn’t be surprised to see some moves involving players from their “stable”. We may even have some money for 1-2 cheap deals.

Yeah, I think if ownership isn’t resolved a good window would simply be no major sales. A loan or two on top, maybe wheel and deal to get someone like Brownhill with no net outlay (sell Godfrey / recall Holgate for bench / sign Brownhill?) but that would be a bonus.

No point expecting much more, keeping what we have is probably more important.

Whatever happens in January, we need to make sure that by the end of the window we have a squad that could potentially survive a transfer ban in the summer. This means that we may have to strengthen the squad in some areas and renew some of the contracts. Next year with possibly leeds and leceister back up, it will be a lot more competitive at the bottom of the table.

Transfer ban ? How many times we getting punished for the same offence

We will get a punishment that's for sure...could be that we get all our points back but then get a transfer ban. I believe that the club was expecting more a transfer ban than an actual point deduction.
Surely they can’t do that. If we get our points back.
They then can’t say ok you now get a transfer ban instead. That’s ridiculous 🤣🤣

Why would there be a major sale, we’re fighting relegation, why would the club put even more pressure on the club/team.

And why would Burnley sell their captain lol in January

We sold Gordon.

Also, it may be that an offer comes in for Onana (for example) that enables us to bring in 3 or 4 starting players or high potential rotation players.

Have to weigh up anything that may happen.
