Player Valuation: £8m
I have mentioned this guy many times and feel he would be perfect for our club if we could get him.
We are pretty much set up in most positions now (another goalie required) and to really push us on I feel we need just one more striker to help Jelavic in case of injury/loss of form. Naismith and Anichebe not quite good enough in my opinion although I think they do give us options.
He is Jelle Vossen from Genk (another Belgian!) and can fill our number 9 shirt.
Firstly, he shouldn't cost too much as he plays in Europe. Players tend to be cheaper than in England overrall and I'm sure we still have a bit of cash left from the summer to spend.
Secondly, his goalscoring rate is very good.
Third, he has friends at our club and so settling in shouldn't be too hard.
Fourth, he is young and one who could stay with us many years.
There were rumours we were after him just before we got Jelavic so there is already some form of interest.
How about Moyes going back for him and giving us an even better strikeforce?
I for one, would welcome it.
I would also welcome returns from Donovan and Cahill for a couple of months as cover for tired/injured players.
 

Anichebe has had a really good year(?) now with his cameos with a better conversion rate per minutes played than Jelavic. I'm not suggesting he's a better player, far from it, but I would not write him off yet.
I think we'll sign Hitzlsberger so I think where we need to strengthen is a playmaker and a goalkeeper.

Donovan might come, we need someone to replace Peanuts when he's at ANC so yes.
Cahil, I don't think he'd even be useful as a squad player. Lovely lad, but badly past it. 1 in 7 in MLS lol. He might come to train with us but not to play
Vossen is badly out of our price range and while strikers are always useful, I don't see it as our weakest position at the moment.

But am not really arsed anyway how things go as long as we don't lose players. That's how high Kenwr0ng has set the bar.
 
Tbh, I know he's quite gash these days, but I would fap so much if we signed Timmy back on loan. Even if he only gets a 5 minute cameo just before he goes back.

Love to see Donovan back in Jan too. No point in Cahill coming back, as it was said above, he wouldnt be much of a help.

Regarding Cahill, I see where your'e coming from - I only said if we got injuries etc. plus it would be nice to be able to say goodbye to him properly in the ground.
Regarding Jelavic, I said if he was injured/out of form, get Vossen who has a terrific scoring record (1 in 2 nearly overrall and 5 goals in 8 games this season) so he could fill any void left. I'm not sure the players we have can do that, although Anichebe is looking better than he has ever done.
 
I have mentioned Jelle Vossen for a while now, although we do have other priorities, and I am not sure a top player like him would or should be sat on our bench at times.
