Tommy Mad Dog was in the last 6 months of his contract, we sold him for £2m, Real Madrid came calling, players never say no, he took a gamble on Arteta, who didnt really shine in Scotland nor Spain for that matter. So it was a gamble and if you recall Arteta came in first on loan, so even less of a gamble.

I think the kids call that "owned", now fck off back in your garden lad.

i get the impression moyes will not play jags and heitinga together some say cosa height but imo i think he likes a left and right footer in defence, thats why distn bought to replace lescott der
 
Would love for him to come but he's too expensive and as Alderweireld said, he'll probably only go to a topclub, I realize we'd be a step up but he's got a great deal of admirers already and it could definately happen that (for eg) the RS get him.

I agree that another CB isn't really the main priority but as some might know (or not) a lot of people say that his best position is as a DM, which is where he plays for Belgium. I'm one of those people, and if we do get him we'll have finally got the Carsley player we've been looking forward to.

People at Arsenal call Vermaelen the Verminator 'cuz he's so fierce, Vertonghen is exactly the same, the man's a bulldog with an angel face at times.

I'd love for us to get him but I doubt it'll happen, however rumours for this deal have been going for way longer than a lot of other players so who knows.
