Not at all. Girouds got one of the best techniques you'll see for a big man. Scores all kind of goals - headers, volleys, with both feet. Consistently puts up goals despite varying minutes. Would be the target man at the top that Koeman seems to rely on, we can get the manic pressing and pace from other avenues. Giroud will be our focal point, his hold up play is quality. Vardys only upside on Giroud is his pace and pressure, and Giroud still works hard despite his pace look at his numbers for distance travelled each game. It's a no from me and I don't see how you can see otherwise. Giroud is a French international, Vardy couldn't pick England out on a world map
