Player Valuation: £40m
James Vaughan has been withdrawn from the England Under 21 squad to face Macedonia and Greece over the next week with a knee injury.

The striker has been missing from the Everton squads which have faced Wigan and SK Sigma with no explanation as to his where-abouts from the club, sparking speculation of a move to Stoke City.

Many felt that Vaughan's chances must have passed if Kieran Agard was on the bench ahead of him, but with news from The FA that he is injured, the prognosis could be even more bleak for the youngster.

Vaughan broke onto the scene at Everton in 2005 when he became the youngest Everton goalscorer, however, a series of injuries have severely hampered his progress.

Wow that is bad luck. His knees must be totally stuffed, I really think he should give up or he wont be able to walk soon, he's got the rest of his life to think about.

if this is correct then i'm afraid it's time to move him on, sorry vaughnie but it's not as if you are getting injured scoring injury time winners in cup finals etc, you're getting injured when not even playing.

Yeah i thinks its time to move on. In a way its another case of VDM...i know its not the same as he is way younger and may have more potential but its a very similar situation. He is about 1-2 seasons behind in regards to development and the only way he is gonna progress is by playing regular football. Id sell him and maybe put in a buy back clause or something?

Should've flogged him to Newcastle.

My first thoughts.

He's never going to be a first team regular, he's not good enough and isnt getting the chance to progress. He will be 30 years of age and still coming off the bench for 5 minutes running round like a looney because he knows no better. Get gone.
