2025/26 James Tarkowski

They had a semi decent chance via anderson, and an off target header by Igor, the rest was Everton being very organised and defending their box very well. I've seen enough Everton to know when we're on the ropes- we weren't, sorry.
Check out the match thread. You're completely wrong. Sorry too. Forest had us pinned in and were well on top. No one was happy in that thread despite us being 1-0. Maybe you have a bad memory?

Check the match thread for bed wetting? I was at the match. You have your opinion, I have mine, sorry fella that's how it works no matter how much you pretend it isn't.

I felt that we desperately needed another goal, but thats cause Ive watched Everton for years, not cause Forest were any good. We were largely untroubled bar one or two moments.

Tbf, that's what I felt.

They had two spells of pressure in that first half, I think the second spell was where Pickford made a decent save from Anderson but other than that shot it didn't feel like they were really threatening us, and we soon took back control of the game before nicking that second goal on a breakaway. Certainly didn't feel like we were riding our luck at the game, sometimes the match threads on here are a bit melodramatic.

Assault is a physical attack you absolute lunatic.
I'm a lawyer it isn't.
Per Google AI
In English law, Assault is causing someone to fear immediate unlawful violence, with no physical contact needed (e.g., threatening to punch someone), while Battery is the actual unlawful physical application of force, even slight contact.

Did I say we were on the ropes? That's just your own imagination. I said we were hanging on for half time. Which we were. They had there most dominant period of the match from 30 mins on until we scored our second. We were defending deep, not mounting any attacks or having any possession. The only team that looked like they might score in that period was them. So yes, we wanted halftime to come so we could reorganise. Maybe you don't follow football (or the written word) that well?

So just out of interest, did the Forest player fall to the ground clutching his face because Tarkowski threatened to punch him? Or did he simply try to make the most of Tarkowski being a little over physical ona football pitch? What Tarkowski did was a bit silly and wasn't really needed as we had them in our pocket anyway. It in no way amounted to assault, if it is then the courts will be busy as every player in the land will have to have a date set.

Forest were out of ideas after 2 minutes. Their plan was scuppered almost immediately. Their plan was the same plan we had whenever we turned up anywhere for about 18 months or so. Getbyonahlfntimemat 0-0 then assess it. At the game, there was nothing in terms of nerves in that first half, not from where I was in the crowd anyway. I wouldnt say I was comfortable for the first 45 minutes, but then I've felt comfortable at 2-0 up before and lived to regret it. A few times. We needed a second goal because we're Everton, nothing to do with Forest.

Dyche raised that incident because he has to create a them v us mentality to get his team out of trouble. "The cards dont fall for us, we dont get that kind of stuff, woe is us" lf Notts Forest were in 10th, he'd not of mentioned a thing about it, regardless of result.

It wasn't assault. It was the more serious offence of battery. The ball not being in play is the key factor.

Bearing in mind the number of goals conceded from corners/deflected shots/hand ball penalties we have conceded I don't think any of us can feel comfortable if another team is dominating possession and is around our box a lot. They had momentum for the last 15 mins of the first half and where on top. Half time came at a good time for us especially with the second goal. Even at 2-0 they had a shot cleared off the line. That goes in and everyone is nervous.
