Nobody said that it's couldn't be a red, the quality of refereeing in this country is appalling.

What I'm saying is that there's nothing wrong with it. The Notts Forest player initiated the first contact and then went down holding his face like he got smacked by MIke Tyson. Football is a physical game that demands physical presence. We've spent years lamenting our players for being too nice and cowardly, and for all of his faults Tarks isn't the sort of player to not stand up for himself.

Lots of people have said it couldn't possibly be a red. There's nothing wrong with it. What are you talking about? You can't barge people in the back when the ball isn't in play. Hitting someone from behind is the definition of cowardly.
