Probably not used to getting injured. His gammy leg likely doesn't feel like his and he's struggling to adapt right now.

Not sure what people are watching here. He's a dominant centre half who dominated. Not a silky footballer but a destroyer/blocker. Stop looking for scapegoats.

He was fine, yeah the goals conceded were soft but once we play more games and get in the grove they will be fine.

Is he fully recovered from his injury? Initially there were worries about him not being back for the start of the season, but maybe the branthwaite injury meant he had to get back quicker?

Was it last year he was playing with an injury to his back at the start of the season? As he looked out of sorts then as well.
