I thought the same thing. Got the yellow, then continued with the sarcastic clapping, smirking and talking. Should have received a second in my opinion and it would have be the right call. Given the yellow and continued on.

The linesman should have flagged the referee for the continued verbal abuse, maybe scared of the crowd reaction if he had done so.

correct. I know fans, even MU, who hate Scousers, but they differentiate between us and them. And not because of any jealously of success or things won but because of the attitude etc.

I like it, good work mods. But it can be hard work here. We have the old school, like me, old hands, proper Blues, EVERTONIANS, but also younger ones, like my two sons, which is great, makes me proud. But some of those, and weirdly, also some older ones, are sadly often influenced by the RS bought media. Then we have the more obvious ones, the dodgy ones, those who are more likely RS, those here just on here to insult as disrupt. Never mind, onwards and upwards... EFC is on the way up.

The abuse Tarkowski (and many others) has received isn't from match going fans. It's from 'followers' of those oddballs who have 'channels' of themselves watching the game for their non-match going 'followers' to develop a hatred of anything that goes against 'their team'. The same goes for (some) podcasts and the ones who 'listen' or who 'follow' those. Subliminal sensationalist conditioning.

The media are also to blame for exactly the same thing - Sky, TNT, BBC, YouTube, X, ..... constantly reviewing the fume from every angle, slow motion and freeze frame. Many of the comments coming through these 'channels' are dressed up as being 'responsible reporting' and 'putting it out there'. They have also reported Tarkowski apologised to Mac Allister, which confirms all of the 'followers' fume is right and just.

Some have said Mac Allister should also 'condemn' the threats and abuse made to Tarkowski and his family. Why should he? If he does he'll get the same (and maybe more) as Tarkowski got and most likely from the same people who gave it to Tarkowski.

Earlier this season is was the racist attacks on Doucoure and now death threats against Tarkowski. At what point do the authorities look at the facts and take action against that club? How many people have to suffer attacks and potentially have their lives ruined before its enough ffs?!

They own the media, the narrative, nothing would really happen. A foul by Van Dead is clever, a foul by Tarks or Pickford demands a ban. Insults by their "fans" are Scouse wit (oh the irony") by us or others "racist". Etc etc etc

Possible but isn’t it also possible that some of us just thought they were both bad tackles?

That we would have equally thought they were bad tackles if a non Everton player did them too?

I’m a Tarks fan (heck I even sponsor his thread!) but I really thought he was lucky not to get a red the other day.
