It has emerged that Everton have bid £4 million in an attempt to prise James Morrison away from the Baggies.
News is reaching us here at Vital West Brom that Everton have bid £4 million for James Morrison.

The Baggies' winger had an impressive first half of the season but his performances fell away towards the end of the campaign as a result of an injury.

It is thought that West Brom will seek closer to £6 million as there is a 15% sell on clause in favour of Morrison's previous club Middlesbrough.

In other transfer news we understand that Fulham and Portsmouth are vying for the services of Captain, Jonathan Greening and have both bid £2 million for the versatile midfielder.

The future of Paul Robinson remains in doubt as Bolton have increased their bid for his services to £750k. The club and new Manager Di Matteo are willing to let him go but want nearer £750k.

It remains to be seen whether any further bids will materialise for Albion players but Scott Carson could well be a target for Premier League clubs and a move could suit him as he looks to push for a World Cup place.

We will keep you updated with progress on all Baggies' transfer dealings throughout pre season and beyond.

thoughts?

I thought you meant James Morrison the "cough" singer who actually grew up in good ole Rugby town .
Could be decent buy methinks.

James Morrison is a talented footballer and 4 million it could prove to be a good signing.

People need to start concentrating on bringing players who have shown they are capable of playing in the Premiership rather then someone who is clearly out of our price bracket (ie Moutinho).

Agreed. I was really impressed with him at Goodison this season. I'd of liked to of signed him when he left Boro to WBA but that didn't happen, always rated him.

I think he'd be a useful signing.

He's quicker than what we have outwide, has good ability and can play in three of four positions.

I see him as a kind of 'stocking filler' signing, not the main present :)

I think he could be a useful addition, as has already been mentioned he's versatile and technically very good. With Moyes' tuition he could become a solid player for us.

I'm still expecting bigger and better this summer though (y)
