On what grounds? They play different positions and Bale scores more? Does that REALLY justify a £60m gulf in fees between the two?
Spurs held out for an outrageous fee, more than double Bale's worth IMHO. Why shouldn't we hold out for a bit more for Felli? Your only argument so far appears to be the fact that there's only one team in for Fellaini; however, there was only one team in for Bale so how does that work?

It's a completely different situation because Real are a team who are well known for spending vast sums on the most talented and marketable players. Levy knew he could get a huge fee because Real were prepared to pay it.
