Keep Fellaini, drop Osman, add McCarthy

OR Sell Fellaini, get Barry, spend no more than 8m on McCarthy, spend all the rest on a centre forward because with the current three we have, it's Sad City.

Do you really think his fee should be around 12 million, the same as say an Eriksen? And Given that 25 million is a lot to spend, should we not be looking to sign a striker for that money, rather than just going back to Martinez's old club, and paying massively over the odds for decent players?

I dont mind McCarthy and being Irish certainly like the idea of Gibson/McCarthy in midfield but I really dont think he's worth £10mil nor do I think he's fit to lace Fellaini's boots. I'll be happier if no deals go through than if this does

As I said on another thread, the maximum we should be paying for McCarthy, who is a decent potential player in the championship, is about 1/3 of what we receive for Fellaini, who is a prove match winner, international regular for a top nation, at a top 6 club.
I cannot believe we opened up at 10 million, that is about double what we should have opened up at, as it gives us nowhere to go. However, we should simply not do any deals, until Man U pay us treble what we agree with Wigan. If not, wait till January, and unless Wigan are coming up, McCarthy will go for 5/6 million.
