2025/26 James Garner

I don't really think putting our best CM at RB, unless through necessity, is really all that smart.
Garner is a fine footballer and I'm sure Moyes loves his versatility.

However I don't think that Garner would get in the midfield of the RS , Arse , City , Newcastle, Chelsea or even Spurs and that's the class that we are aiming to join.

So, for me , he's a good midfielder for us for now. He's a great squad player.

I think he could become an excellent full back.

I think he does a job there and might be the best at the club at that position atm, but he still looks like a midfielder playing FB to me.

Would he be as good as prime Coleman (who was a very good player but not a world class RB)? I don't think so.

Thought Garner was excellent at the weekend, in the first half he looked like the only player who could be bothered to make runs. He's been pretty consistent since he joined while taking a lot of stick for no reason, seems as though people are finally realising this season how good he actually is. Hope he gets this new contract, he deserves it.

None of those teams had Dyche as manager, 2yrs trying to drain the football out of a quality young player.

Ive never questioned the lads talent, and if he could have those 2yrs back under a different manager, I doubt you'd be questioning him now..
