He looked good at Forest because it was a lower league. He's very average as a Premier League footballer. Fine to have on the bench I suppose as he can do an ok job in a number of positions.

It's amazing how this seemingly obvious and self-explanatory point seems to be missed so often.

I must've been watching a different player cos I think he's been quietly one of our better players since he came back.

He’s a lot better than Mangala in my book and no surprise to me our best form this season and last season is when he’s in the team

With proper options to hit in front of him, he'll show better again. Half the side aint match fit, and the other half has quality issues.

Can’t see the negativity with this lad. He’s been out with a back injury and came straight back in when we were desperate. He’s can play anywhere as well. Remember his Newcastle performance this season when marking Gordon and Barnes when it was 2 against one on a few occasions. He’s was brilliant that night
Our best performances over the last 2-3 seasons has coincided with him on the middle.

I feel he could give so much more and sometimes he just wants to be neat and tidy. I want him to start bossing games.

I'm a fan. Rome wasn't built in a day. He will either become a great player or stay a decent one. I want him to improve obviously, but he is far from a bad player. Does everything well. Would like to see some of the G/A's and key passes come from him consistently. It's up to him.

'Coincided' with him being in the middle would work if he'd only played there 10 times, it's not really coinciding when he plays there every week. Some of our best performances have come with him in there, and so have some of our worst. I don't think he's a bad player by any means, I just don't think he's a particularly remarkable one. He's the type of midfielder you get playing for teams like us basically.
