Jags-Player of the year?

It would be nice for an attacker to come to the fore if only for the simple fact that this would mean our attention had been drawn to our offence rather than our defence.

Jags is not just a great defender, he's quickly becomming the lynchpin in our side.

Has the potential to be the best defender we've had since Kevin Ratcliffe / Dave Watson.

I think he's been our player of the season so far.

Wouldn't mind Yakubu or Saha giving him a run for his money though.

Jags has been consistent and rescued us more often than not. So far, he is deffo player of the season but yes, it would be good for a striker to take over in the 'best player' stakes.

Jagielka has this seasons Player of the year in the bag already for me. He's our best defender by a mile.

Lescott's a left back though mate, he's good both defensively and going forward. He's an all rounder and because of his all round play he's got alot of plaudits.

Jags is an excellent centre back but he's not very flashy. He's not someone who's going to standout despite being consistent. Excellent player but I doubt we'd get anything over 7/8 million for him.

Think that sums up Jags pretty well. 8 million would be about it, if we ever decided to sell him. He's worth much more to us though. Top contender for player of the season without doubt.

Agree with the consensus. If his distribution was better we'd be getting offers from the likes of Real Madrid and Milan. He's more in the style of Butcher, Adams, Campbell and Terry. No thrills, no skills, just gets the job done. Also agree that attitude wise, you'd think he was born a stone's throw from the ground.
I'd also prefer it if he was less noticable as our best player, and rather formed a backbone with the likes of Arteta and Yak
