Neiler

Player Valuation: £100m
Was a bit surprised that a lot of people went for Jags for MOM over Yobo (remember when he was MOM every week) i thought he had an excellent game and just shaded Jags in terms of skill! I was very critical of Jags at centre half in his early games but hasnt he made me eat those words! Thank god!

So who do you think is the better player?

Or for fence sitters:

If you had to drop one of them for Lescott (who is miles better then both) which one would it be?

I would drop Yobo. Tough call, and yes I noticed him playing very well t'other night, but Jags just seems to have that "edge" in defensive terms generally - well, now he is on form.

I reserve the right to do a complete about face on this decision if Jags has a mare at Fulham :P

I prefer Jags over Yobo, Joey still makes me nervous when he's in possession of the ball and tends to take chances when row z will do.

Jags everytime. Since Yobo went away to AFC he has had some real 'old Yobo' moments. You'd think he would have worked them out of his game now, but he still does them.
You know 100% what you are going to get from Jags every game he plays in. With Yobo there is always that expectant uncertainty, and that usually punishes us.

i would get rid of jagielka stright away, he's rubbish, okay he can make a good last ditch tackle, but thats coz he gets himself into stupid positions from stupid mistakes, but ppl only se the saving tackle, sooner or later them last ditch tackles will turn into goals instead of corners. joey is my man

Well said

Well....

Jagielka - Has a good tackle on him, good marking, good header both attacking and defending. Hes a good captain aswell as his communication is good. However he does like the acrobatic clearences abit too much and sometimes wont look for the pass.

Yobo - Good tackle, good pace, good determination. His only problably fault is he always watns to take on some players!! he can sometimes, but when hes the last man its not good!!

So who to choose?? well if it was playing 4 at the back and had to drop one of them...id play 5 :P!!!

Sorry....but i cant choose, there good at different things, and together make a solid defence

Tough call but that fence is jaggy and not a comfortable place to sit, unlike that toilet in the Ale House forum.

Id drop Yobo based on current form. Think Jagielka has been really solid and impressive for us
