We'd be mad to sell him. He's been rock solid for many years and I don't see that his performance level would just drop off because he suddenly got a year older. He could easily have another 5 years as a regular first teamer. His fitness record is exceptional, too, which is worth a hell of a lot.

Other than the second half showing against Newcastle I think he's been showing some excellent form reminiscent of a few years ago when he was looking as good as any defender in the League. His distribution, although still not perfect, has come on over the last season or two. He's perfecting that long, Johnny Heitinga esque pass from right to left and he was even stepping into midfield against Newcastle and helping us boss the game.
 
Not the best time to put yourself on Twitter Jags. It'll just take one fatal slip in the WC and you'll be getting slated in all media, but particularly on Twitter.
