There was interest elsewhere for jags with two clubs willing to give him two year deals I heard

Make no mistake he's only got an extension due to funes mori injury and therefore we couldn't risk losing him as there wouldn't be any money to replace him and sign another cb that we need

He only signed because otherwise he would have been tempted to leave to get a longer deal and we had no money to replace him especially seeing as we need a new defender with funes injury
 

He's been a great servant, but finished at this level unfortunately. His distribution is shocking, and he has no pace. He can still read the game but at this level it is not enough. Championship standard at this point.
