2025/26 Jack Grealish

We have half the season left before a proper discussion on a permanent transfer should be had.
There's this big football event coming up in the summer of 2026, I forget its name, but I think it's happening in the usa. Anyway, because so many teams representing so many countries are involved to win the trophy cup, it'll mean a recovery after the event which will impact the transfer window. The club world cup nonsense had a notable effect, this disaster will be worse.
Another aspect to consider, we saw players leave us late for free last year, I can see signings hanging on to juice every last cent from their previous employer before moving. How does this accord to Grealish? If he's on 300k a week from city, he'd be a madman to move in May for less when he can turn up the day before the season starts in August and bank something like an extra two million quid for not so much as farting.
There is no romance or honour anymore, the only thing that counts is money.

Agree matey, tbf their performances have been pretty good from what Ive seen.
They're slowly improving and there's no pressure on them to perform now because they're basically down. I've seen them play well against Liverpool, Arsenal and United recently, and obviously West Ham today.

We're a side that don't score many goals and it wont be an easy game nor a given 3 points whatsoever.

We should still be getting 6 points against Brentford and Wolves, especially with the best midfielders in the league, but they're tough games.

he does create a lot of chances, i believe he is now 9th for chances created which is still impressive however in respect of big chances created i believe he is 31st in the league, he is actually behind both james garner and kiernan dewsbury-hall for big chances created this season and has the same amount of big chances created as ndiaye

shows that we are a very creative team when all 4 are playing

31st seems far lower that he was looking like in his first month or so.

Agreed a pointless loan signing, would have been better actually signing players than loaning a past his best Grealish for a big fee. Hope we don't double down and actually sign the guy.

I think it could be a good stop gap to get Ndiaye back left and Dibling right.

Need to see more from Grealish before signing.

anyone is a fool if they don’t want grealish on a permanent deal.

What a terrible post.

Yeah he’s created less big chances this season than Sean Longstaff, Marcus Edwards and David Brooks, amongst many many others. For 225,000 a week - over four times what Ndiaye is paid - I totally agree that it would actually be idiotic NOT to question signing him permanently. Jack needs to step up big time over the next few weeks - hopefully starting tomorrow.

Why is this a terrible post. He brings so much more to our team. Against forest he was on 15 minutes and set up 2 chances. He creates so much space for other players. You are just looking at goals and assists @Zatara also want some 19 year old wonderkid who will probably fail. We need to stabilise the club get us up the league and then get youngsters in

"Anyone is a fool" if they dont have the same opinion as me.

I’ll be very surprised if TFG sanction a permanent transfer.
Not necessarily because he not good enough etc, simply because of the hit to the P&L he will create.
Any deal will be over £35m imo and within 3 years that money is fully depreciated / a dead loss, and I can’t see them stomaching deals like that.
I don’t see his signing generating £10-12m increased revenue per season to justify it.
I see it as an equivalent to when they signed Lukaku on loan at Roma. Bit of a marquee signing with not too much financial risk.

and that is a major strength in itself. So glad we have him
