2025/26 Jack Grealish

In fairness, when your solo striker of Beto or Barry couldn't hit a cows arse with a frying pan, I'm not sure prime Zidane would have a whole lot of assists to his name either.

Agree to some extent, like Barry’s sitter v Sunderland was off a Grealish cross - but there’s no doubt his performances have diminished from the start of the season.

I'm disappointed if I'm honest with Jack so far he needs to do a lot more than he is at the moment, it doesn't help playing with that joker behind you but still...
Not entirely sure what more he can do tbh. Some goals would be nice, but he's never been a goalscoring midfielder. He could be shooting more and playing the ball quicker sometimes but again, thats never really been his game. He's obvisouly a level of quality above pretty much everyone other than N'diaye but he's also only one player. There are a number of players in the side who need to step up more before I'd get to Grealish.

Is there anyone who doesn't want him signed?

I can understand people turning their nose up at his wages but I have a feeling he will meet us halfway on that.

I'm not remotely bothered if he signs.

Give him the ball and 9/10 times he'll stop and wait for no apparent reason.

He's a ball hogger who slows the play down.

Yesterday we had our team attacking newcastle and just tapped it about like City with no one making any attempt to run with the ball or play a sexy pass bar Garner.

Yes, i do see one or two flashes of elite quality a game where he makes a super cross or pass.

In this team we need players who go at players not slow the play.

Thats not Everton.

This might be a daft comment on my part and it's probably unlikely to occur , but I would actually consider playing Jack further back to dictate matches and he's actually contributed defensively lately, I think not having him on the wing would prevent him from becoming isolated and give ndiaye an opportunity to play on the left again. Jack has been exceptional overall a lot of times he slows down counter attacks when if in midfield he'd be in a better position to facilitate attacks

Looked crap yesterday, and not arsed, which ain’t good enough.

Needs to start putting crosses and shots in, instead of faffing about and getting the ball took off him.

I think a lot of the time he’s looking for runners that aren’t there, which must be frustrating for him. Think some of the criticism is harsh - thought he was a big threat in that spell between the first and second goal when we was well on top. Played a few good through balls and made some good runs behind. I wish sometimes, however, he’d just have a shot , he had a couple of opportunities yesterday and has throughout the season

Unfortunately Dibling plays in the same way. And McNeil moves like a glacier.
