2025/26 Jack Grealish

Pep needs people to play his tactics, period.

Any individuality outside of that is unacceptable or deemed a threat to his ego.

Fair play, that's his management style and he gets results.

But let's not pretend he's all seeing, all knowing and doesn't make decisions based on ego.

Ibrahimovic, Ronaldinho, Eto'o etc.
Every manager in the world buys players to suit their prefered system. Pep is the only one critisized for it. Of course he has an ego, no bigger than that of any other manager. You need a big personality to manage big players. Those 3 players you mention ? Once Pep got rid he turned Barca into the greatest club side the world had ever seen. But his haters will always hate and there will always be a caveat behind any paise. It's pathetic.Lets not pretend he isn't the greatest manager the world has ever seen. He entitled to a bit of ego.

Pep isn't the only one criticised for it.

"Greatest manager the world has ever seen" is an entirely subjective assessment.

You've completely ignored the fact that sometimes players blossom away from his constricts.

Some players were born to fly.

Jack Grealish’s impact on the team has been marked. As the below graphic shows, Everton have created the highest xG in the league so far from cutbacks, with most coming from the inside-left channel occupied by the on-loan Manchester City player.
Internal research conducted by the club’s insights department last season found that the modern Premier League was increasingly about cutbacks, with the best sides all generating a high proportion of their chances via this avenue. Everton were last in this metric last season.

Everton are now a team geared towards maximising Grealish’s talents. He is third in the league for progressive passes received, behind only Mohamed Salah and Bryan Mbeumo, and first for carries into the penalty area.

This notion that Pep restricts players in complete nonsense. He restricted Messi did he? Or David Silva and KDB ? Some of the greatest players the world has ever seen have flourished under Pep. The ones with the huge egos who thought they were better than the team got dumped, and you can't deny the results. As for being the best manager, his results and records speak for themselves. His teams have done things thought impossible. No team has ever got 100 points in the Prem until Pep. No team has ever done 4 in a row, not Liverpool in their pomp or the rags with the GPC at the helm. Domestic treble ? what the GPC called "the impossible treble" check. Two trebles at different clubs ? check. Record after record broken and pundit after pundit proved wrong time and again.

What a lot of words for a lot of nonsense.

Great players accept his system or they don't, it doesn't make them lesser players.

Again, "greatest manager " - completely subjective, too many variables, check your bias.

Look forward to your next wall of incoherent text.

Travesty that he is not in the England squad...honestly if I was him, and I am getting a message from that clown tuchel, I think i would tell him to f off. One of the worst team in the league (forest) has 2 midfield players in the squad...shame theyre not facing a proper team in the next 2, but hoping for wales to get a result.

Tbh if he really has been playing through the pain barrier then not making the team for the next two weeks could well be helpful for him to recover and continue his great form. Which would hopefully lead to a call up later in the season.
