2025/26 Jack Grealish

Wonder how the whole England/World Cup is going to affect him.

I expect he knows inside how unlikely it is now.

He came to get his love for the game back, but also a chance at getting back in the England squad.

An International break without being involved will be hard for him.

He's a true professional tho so he'll give it his all, but he's gonna need some proper fan love..

I wonder how they collect all these stats to make all these graphs & who are the people who do it?
Do they have an army of people at every game taking notes or pushing buttons?
Anyone know anyone who does this for a living?

Sorry, not really about JG - forgot where I was for a minute!
Don’t know anyone who does it for a living but it seems like more and more money is getting invested in the data side of football- both to improve performances and to inform recruitment.

Here is Opta’s own description.

Thanks for posting that, interesting to see how & why they do it.
Dixie Dean got a mention too 💙

Yeah, he's obviously not under consideration at all.

Even if he does lose motivation, at least it's only a loan. We were stuck with Walcott for years after he gave up once he failed to make the 2018 World Cup.

I thought he might have come here to advertise himself in a more central role, with Tuchel and Guardiola seeming to prefer younger, faster legs out wide, but he seems happy enough staying out on the left.

Love him, the world loves him, the Pep effect really put a stranglehold on the player he was.

We haven't got the talent around him, which is obviously going to have a big impact on him.

Not sure what Moyes is actually asking him to do, he possibly is asking him to keep to the touchline but really you just have to say to him, go and play your game.

None of the above is me questioning his talent or effort, just thinking more about how certain things are going to effect him personally.

I feel for the lad.

Aiming to get back in the England squad does not necessarily mean performance on the pitch.
