Out of the three players you have named, only Kanchelskis made a worthwhile contribution during his time with the club. The others joined at the back end of their careers once they were past their best.

Maybe there is a lesson to be learnt here when we are being linked with the likes of Grealish, who are likely to be expensive wastes of time.
