and maybe were agreeing to pay his wages, loan him back for the rest of this season then ship mucha out next....a very good deal imo

anyway, graeme beecroft is on talksport saying it's false, but we are currently working on a loan deal for a CM

A few thoughts:

Where the hell has all this money come from?
Is it the board proving to Moyes that they can match his ambitions and thus get him to sign a new contract to stay?

I wouldn't have thought a goalkeeper was a big priority... HOWEVER.... this kid is supposedly the next big thing - went to Euro 2012, played for Team GB in the Olympics, and Howard isn't getting any younger. Mucha hasn't exactly been challenging him.

They said 5 Million for Oviedo when it's closer to 2 Million. They just want their totalizer to break all records.

We're paying in installments which means we'll pay a mil or two , a season. so really its not that bad.

If this is true it would suggest that any deal for a midfielder has fallen through so Moyes has had a 'money burning a hole in his pocket' panic and bid for a player who he believes will be a top keeper. I guess the money would vanish before January, so i suppose he's right.

It'll be years before Birmingham get £6m off us. For a player his age, the installments will most definitely be appearance based.

probly be a very good keeper on the future ( hopefully ) but as previously said, if moyes thinks were short on a keeper, bring richard wright in on a free. yes he is probably building for the future but howard is a good athlete and definately has a good 3 or 4 years in him imo. i'd rather we went for a central midfielder with the 6m.

I'm with this. Stubbs said this morning, we were looking for Brys and a CM and that was it. How the hell could we have suddenly found 6 million for a keeper?

You only have to look at Fulham playing games with Liverpool to see why we might not be shouting out targets from the rooftop.
