I've Got A feeling

Yakubu for me is worth his wage and whatever derisory fee we'll end up getting for him. 15-20 goal a season strikers will cost you upwards of £20 million these days, and I just don't think we're going to get one unless we get a gargantuan bid for Rodwell. And even then I'd argue a winger should be the priority.

So what I'm saying is, whilst Yakubu is unlikely to ever get back to the heights of his 21 goal haul in his maiden season, he's still a lot better than what £4 million or so would get you elsewhere.

Couldn't agree more with this. I'm still baffled as to why Moyes sent Yakubu out on loan when he was finally starting to look dangerous. When he finally did score (against Stoke I believe) he was dropped in favour of an injured Saha, playing in front of an exhausted Cahill. Glad to see him back on the scoresheet, even if it was against Bury.

It's more likely that since they weren't expected to still be with us, the club didn't apply for visas for them...

I'm assuming American visas for Nigerians aren't going to be issued with any kind of haste.
