It's the draws that have cost us...

The draws were always going to cost us though. Its so obvious. When you look at the season as a whole and how other teams have done, unbelievably its not only cost us CL league 4th but the title too. As funny as that may sound, it has. Just turning 3 or 4 of those draws into wins would of seen us going for the league. Its astonishing and it sends a shiver down my spine as to what could of been.

Ahhhhhhh well, too many draws last season, too many this season. I do feel though that we as a team on the field are very very close to something special. We are right there in the mix with Chelsea, City, Arsenal etc....

Exactly, we've seen this plot line before.

You must realise by now that football is unpredictable or we all would have won the pools.
Its all if and buts and hindsight makes things easier. Every teams supporters are probably saying only if...at this moment. We just have to sit down and look at the table and know that's where we deserve to be, we shouldn't look at individual games then say they cost us the league or 4th or 3rd and so on. As someone has pointed out quite rightly, there have been games also that we have won when maybe a loss or draw may have been a fair result. It all evens out over the season and the table does not lie.

Yeah, we've had some bad results but we're not the only side in the top 7 to have had some surprising defeats/draws.

Man City for example have lost to Villa, Cardiff, Sunderland, they've also drawn with Stoke, Sunderland, Norwich and so on.

Teams competing for the title who have spent a fortune more than us have had shock results, as annoying as it is we're not exempt from it and all we can do is now try and take 6 points from City & Hull.

Tbh we just been unlucky the bottom teams have sucked so are no where near 40 points meaning 69 points isn't enought for CL, but hay it's not over just yet, you never know

Rather than dwell on negatives, I prefer to look at the positives.

We've been boss most of the time.

Can't dwell on the past, we'd be here all day with Everton!

It's been a brilliant 'transitional' season. I just hope we get the 3 points needed against City at the weekend and finish at Goodison on a high.
