That's 3 minutes of my life I'm never getting back.

I don't hate Rooney, I hate the football machine and the sensationalism that surrounds top players moving.

That said, anyone who plays for Everton will get my support all day long. Anyone who doesn't, for any reason whatsoever, even if they are 'Boyhood Evertonians' gets a big fat 'meh' from me. Yawn

I wish people would understand that the Rooney haters don't hate Rooney coz he left (anymore anyway) they hate him becasue of how he acted towards/ about the club afterwards. He's a prick. Depending on what Barkley does when he inevitably leaves is how I will judge him. Got no problem with a player wanting to further his career. But they do it the right way ffs ffs ffs koff barkley.

I hated him at the time as he had my dream in his hands and threw it all away for a big bag of money. Seeing him there in that daft stripey jumper at OT made me fume beyond belief.

The kissing the badge thing? By then I'd stopped caring and if we're all honest, you kinda knew it was coming at some point.

Now? Matinee of meh (copyright C Azul) is about as much as I can summon up. If he comes back, great. If not? His transfer money made us ace for a few years.

Eventually he will get in the team on a regular basis. he will be boss and the bigger richer clubs will come sniffing. He will be offered CL football and huge wages and like any other human being would do, he too, will go. And when he does the same lids who STILL hate Rooney, will hate him too.

Its a weird place they are in right now. As we speak, they love Ross, want him in and see him as a saviour, but they know that eventually they will hate him too!!

side note: personally i think it is swell that he still regularly shows his love for this club.

very happy to hear some positivity for a change, sick of all the pessimistic bull**** thats been circulating around the evertonians i know...
 
I'd be bothered if Barkley left but it wouldn't be because of the team he goes to, it'll be because when we get a boss player through the ranks that could potentially help the club onto better times again something seems to happen to hinder that progress, such as selling that player or not giving them a decent enough chance in the first team. The latter is pretty much what's happening now.
