Please please please be true. This is another form of mental torture.
I can't go through another month of speculation and ultimate disappointment.

I'm a middle aged, professional, relatively intelligent woman with family, average lifestyle, never been in trouble, just average person but the reality is

I'm OBSESSED WITH MANUEL FERNANDES.

They reckon the hardest battle is just admitting it.
I've done it.

I had a teenage crush on Adam Faith after sitting in the same carriage as him on a train. This is the same. I'm going MAD.

It's too early to say, if it is another loan deal it shouldn't take too long so it should happen sometime next week, if it is true?

I've always been one of those people who wanted Fernandes to come back once more, let's hope it's true we need him more than ever!

Er ... in fact it's been officially denied. I don't believe a word of this story. Why on earth would Moyes have said only yesterday that he knew nothing about any Fernandes move, if a deal was imminent ?

Moyes was playing Pokerface

Read Moyes's words closely - an ulimate true or false would fit his words either way (Machiavellianesqe)..
Our club have changed significantly the methodology for transferss with the emphasis on "hush hush".

Search around - you'll find Spanish press and TV talking about it - Ian Ross about the discussions in Spain with Valencia, Manny's agent, Valencia's President agreeing negotiations are being conducted etc.

Both sides are jostling financially, Everton have gained an unexpected bargaining tool due to Manny's arrest on Thursday, bad karma in Spain - scandal is seriously frowned upon- VALENCIA WANT RID!!!

Come on Manny boy - back to the Blues - [Poor language removed] hell we're going to be awesome

After what happened in August with the Manny deal I doubt whether DM himself will believe it until Manny is on the pitch playing. DM is very cautious with the press anyway so it's not unusual for him to make statements like this.

If there was absoloutly no way we were interested in signing him perhaps DM would have said 'we will not be signing Manuel Fernandes' and he's certainly not said that.

Anyway, like I've said before, I will only believe it when he's wearing a Royal Blue shirt.

Manuel Fernandes set up for possible return to Everton

Only 6 months after turning his back on Goodison Park and Everton it appears that Portuguese midfielder Manuel Fernandes could return to the Premiership after a sensational turn of events which has seen the player arrested and placed on a list of unwanted players by Valencia.

The former Evertonian enjoyed an excellent loan spell with the club towards the end of last season helping the team to a creditable finish assuring them of UEFA Cup football this season. He had been widely tipped to arrive permanently with the player even giving Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright a verbal assurance that he would sign for the club, which he then ignored to join Valencia for roughly £18 million from his parent side Benfica.

His spell in La Liga has been anything but happy making only 6 appearances as Valencia have failed to find the form that saw them finish fourth last season and tumble out of Europe finishing last in their Champions League group. The manager, who brought him to the team was relived of his duties in October and Ronald Koeman, an ex-Benfica manager was brought in. Despite the obvious connection as a result of the shared background it appears that the two haven’t hit it off and a night in the cells is hardly likely to endear Fernandes to his coach.

The arrival of the Dutch coach at Valencia has hardly helped the situation as a number of players including several high profile ones such as David Albelda, Miguel Angulo and Santi Canizares have all fallen out with the abrasive manager.

Matters have been further exacerbated when Spanish media reported that the midfielder had been arrested following an altercation in a nightclub whilst the squad were out celebrating Miguel’s birthday, a compatriot who persuaded Fernandes his future lay in Spain rather than England.

With Valencia desperate to offload Fernandes he may be open to a return to Everton, who appear to have forgiven the player after he turned his back on them a mere 6 months ago.

Although Everton have several useful central midfielders at the club already they had been expected to sign up Swiss international Johan Vogel after he was released from Real Betis. Whether David Moyes is still in the market for more midfielders is debatable but the chance to sign the player back at a potentially cut price fee may prove too much to resist.

The Portuguese player was arrested after getting involved in a fight in a Valencia night club in the early hours of Friday

More changes at Valencia Football Club with one of their players, the Portuguese Manuel Fernandes, being held in police cells in the early hours of this morning after being involved in a fight in a discotec in the early hours.

Reports on Radio Marca indicate that he was in the club at 5am with the other Valencia player Miguel, but that the latter was not arrested. Miguel said that the fight was over allegations of a stolen watch. It seems the police had to break up the fight.

A statement from the club later in the day has said that the player will be fined for his action, but his agent, Jorge Mendes, has now commented that Fernandes is to leave the club and play for Everton.

Manuel Fernandes only arrived at Valencia from Benfica last summer, at a transfer cost of 18 million €.

Here's the original link that this all sprang from, by the way, which was Radio e Televisao Portugal (with additional audio link for all you Portuguese speakers).

Babelfish translation:

Someone else is reporting that this radio station (Antena1) had comments with Ian Ross, but it is not immediately visible on their website.

Yeah it all seems a little loose doesn't it. Certainly don't need to have multiple threads about it though.

Go on BK forum and there are around 5 threads all about Fernandes.
