Its happened before tbf, he is there player for now so its their choice to play him.

The fact he didn't play the full game is more telling to me

.....if the club has agreed a fee it's difficult to think they would risk an injury. I think the game was in Germany but might be wrong.

....as above, if you agree a multi million fee it's odd to risk an injury to the player.

Agreed it would be stupid. But its happened before, bolasie who was worth a lot more played in a competitive match 2 days before his transfer to Everton.

I suspect he may have requested to play for the first 45, its only a friendly in Spain little chance of him getting injured I suppose.

Yep thought it was strange though someone posted before eggs that one of the players mentioned to the fans he was leaving plus he's supposedly due for a medical Saturday.

He wasn't due to play by all accounts but supposedly was put in last minute in place of someone who I think got injured.

I think we should take another shot at getting Ghezzal, maybe seeing how we are this season would convince him. Depay would be nice but like some have said he may feel like we are a step down even though he isn't playing
