is moyes bringing the science back to goodison?

i think he might just be cuz this season has seen us play some very nice footy at times!! ok these times are a bit to far apart for my liking but at least we are playing a nice pass and move game from time to time!! which i havent seen at goodison since the mid 80's

and two plays perticular stand out for me which is ossies goal against larrisa and the yaks 3rd today both were scored cuz of the movement/runs off the ball and the passing

its just nice to see us playing an atractive style now and then!!

so could the school of science be on its way back?

The style of play this season has certainly improved and we've scored some really attractive goals thus far. I would like to see us play that kind of football against the tip top teams before I get out the bunting but we're certainly heading in the right direction.

When we have gone up against the so called top sides we have always taken a more dour safety first approach. This team, especially on a decent playing surface, should be allowed to express themsleves with some class carpet football. As you say Bruce the standard of goal so far this season has improved immeasurably as has the build up play. The press somehow lable us route one, that is a load of crap as we all know they are wrong but long may that illusion continue. School of science, not yet but clearly we have made the play group:lol:

Agree with all that Mont, we might not be there yet but the buds are showing eh.

The commentators on today's TV covergage here (one was Davie Provan) kept talking about Everton's passing, quality play, and even had a dig at Advocaat. First time in a long time I've hear that said by a commentator or pundit other than Joe Royle.

I have to say, i think we are being a bit unfair in how we have played in recent seasons, some memeroable game stick ou tlike beating Spurs and Villa away last season, the [Poor language removed] at home. To be fair you have to stick iot and play hard with the Boltons of this world i think an impotant point is that we are able to vary are game to do both!

The attacking football at times has been absolute joy to watch, players picking out passes that you wouldn't have dreamed of seeing from some, even last year when we were challenging for 5th.

One thing to consider, we do not have a big tall CF to hoof the long ball to and we are not playing the hoofers, Stubbs is a sub these days and Weir has gone.
