Is that kiss goodbye to Moyes then? Who would you want if so?

Davey, you are not getting millions like brenda so you have done your best but after 10 yrs you still have Howard and Heitinga in defence????????????????????

Time for a change it's as simple as that.

He's at the point where excuses don't wash any longer whatever the circumstances this is Everton Football Club not Coventry City and 10 years of excuse making just becomes self defeating in the end - Evertonians don't go to watch 7th and no cups.

You can tell by the increased criticisms on the forums and the booing of subs, people are just saying "had enough".

He hasn't helped himself with his contract - appearing casual at best and arrogant at worst - bit of a tool really.

Utter hogwash.

Moyes would be brilliant with money its that snake Kenwright and his gang of bandits in the boardroom that need kicking out when did this redcoat become bigger than everton football club? Im sick of waking up and hearing that he is still efc chairman I want this guy serving my big mac behind the counter, I want this guy looking for a pair of shoes in my size, I want this guy waxing my arse in the salon anywhere but strangling this club im fuming right now just thinking about it

Disagree. Last time we had real money he spent it on Bilyaletdinov (less said the better), Heitinga (one good season in 4), and Distin (a proven class player, no argument here). He spends better when he's bargain basement shopping and he's great at getting the best out of them.

Utter rubbish.

What 'excuses'? We are 5th, level on points with 4th placed Spurs (alright they have a game in hand, but still).

'Evertonians don't go to watch 7th and no cups' - seriously, that is a Kopite-like, delusional statement. Pre-Moyes, we'd been utter ****e for 5 years, fighting relegation every season. Prior to that, we'd had one and a half good seasons under Joe Royle, and prior to that, again, largely ****e for 8 years since our last title win in 1987.

When people come out with the stuff you've posted, I just think there is a complete lack of appreciation for the job Moyes has done over the last 11 years.

Have a go at his substitutions by all means, that's fair game, and just frustration with how games are going. But pretending it is some sort of unrest against Moyes tenure as a whole? Not having that.

I'm unsure if any other manager can come here and improve on our league positions. We do better in the league then you'd expect really.

I know for a fact that lots of managers could come here and improve our performances in the cups. And I would happily finish 9th rather than 7th if that happens.

Fellaini £15m. Mirallas £6m. Even Yakubu £11.25m - 21 goals for us in his first season.

All good signings (Yak was at first, until he got his achilles injury), and all big money signings.

Question....

How long should be left before we actually look for another manager?

I don't want to go into the summer with no manger with a contract.

I say we, I mean Everton.

We should have never have stopped looking. At any moment you'd want a short list of possible replacements so the baord can talk to the people they want straight away if need be.

Unfortunately our board are idiots, so we'll obviously piss around for three months, get rejected by Phil Brown and end up with Neville in charge.

Moyes holds all the cards. He's a top manager (overall), and he knows it, and the board knows it. If we lose Moyes, it will be a massive backwards step for this club. You wouldn't just be losing the manager, because wherever he'd end up (and he would), he'd take all of his staff with him, so the club's internal structure would be decimated. That's before players start wanting to leave too, as I'm sure at least a few would.

We can't force Moyes to sign a new deal, we can't give him ultimatums. And anyway, say Moyes goes. Who'd want the Everton job, knowing they'd have no money to spend? No one of any real quality. I wouldn't rush to search for a new manager, because we likely won't be very happy with the available candidates.

I don't believe that for a second.

Trouble with self satisfied guff like this is you can't see the wood for the trees do you think we'll be 5th or better come the end of the season? Nah, Spurs, Arse and probably the RS will recover from their crap start and well .. you know what we'll do.

Do you think we'll win the FA cup? Nah, more likely Moyes will do a "Leeds" and get all clever with his team selection somewhere, y'know like playing Jags at full back and an out of form Johnny against a brute of a centre forward in great form.

Last time I looked EFC started in 1878 and not the 90s, I know people like you like to ignore that because clown coaching like Moyes does wouldn't have been put up with in those 100 plus years before.

Koppite is it to want a club of our stature to win something at least once in a decade?

Get a grip will ya?

James Beattie £6m, Bilyaletdinov £9m, Andy Johnson £8.5m. Also you can hardly call Mirallas proven at this point.

Compare that to Cahill, Arteta, Pienaar, Jagielka, and casting our eye back further Nigel Martyn and Marcus Bent, he's clearly spent better when he has less to spend.
