After today's news that SSE have raised energy prices by 8.2% from November, will anyone be thinking about delaying turning on their heating due to cost. The average fuel bill will rise by £106 per year! Do you think that the other companies will follow? I personally feel sorry for people who will become cold as they cant afford to turn it on.

I know that the others will follow and I personally think that it is outrageous. Can you imagine if the price of petrol went up by 8.2%. An average litre of fuel at £1.35 would then become £1.46. Would we accept a rise of 11p per litre? I don't think so, so why are energy companies allowed to get away with it.
The average price of a weeks shopping is £77. Would we accept a new price of £83.50?
Thoughts???
