Is He Ready

I would play Rodwell in Cahill's position. I think Rodwell will prove soon enough that he offers more than Cahill. But Rodwell will pave his way to the starting XI soon enough, Moyes willing. But for Coleman, I think he is head and shoulders above both Hibbert and Neville, right NOW. If Hibbert is ahead of Coleman in the picking order when the season starts, Coleman has every right to be infuriated.

Why is everyone focussed on starting, the fact is it doesnt really matter we are bound to have quality players on the bench this season to come on to change games - thats how leagues are won - strong squads!

I think Rodders is getting a bit ahead of himself and we are as well, i think he is very talented, but to compare him to Bobby Moore is a bit porno in my opinion, i think we've been in this position before and these kinda players go missing, i think for this season it should reflect the state of our team and continued growth in youth ( Shay, Rodders,Jose ) rather than build around him - he needs to be moulded ( preferably by Neville ).

For me Rodwell and especially Coleman should easily be in our starting XI and only Moyes' blind loyalty to older players will keep them out and possibly make them unsettled.

Wouldn't say it's blind loyalty. Remember how he played Rooney when he broke through? Lots of late substitutions even though he very often scored when he got on the pitch. He was played behind Radzinski! It wasn't about loyalty, it was to keep pressure away from the youngster, think it's the same story here with Rodwell. Rodwell have played more and more and I think he will get chances from the start in games this season even when we have a fully fit squad. He is that good, but he's still young and developing.
