Is Chris Sutton a pundit or just a mouthpiece ?

Just seen him complaining about Raneria. For a player whose contribution to football was that he held Shearer's coat at Blackburn and played for Celtic he has become very mouthy.
He seems to be positioning himself as a stupid John Aldridge.
He never shuts up. The BBC are affording him way too much airtime. I hate him and his stupid voice.

Got made bankrupt by getting involved in moody bets wasn't he ?

Odd that such average players become bbc pundits, and i include our own Kilbane in that list alongside Mills, Jenas and Danny Murphy.

His voice is incredibly annoying, monotone in a superior know it all drone. How do these people get these jobs ?

Every sport has one - Nigel Mansell, Steve Davis, Chris Boardman.

I just haven't decided who is the most ridiculously unsuitable pundit in Chris Sutton and Alan Smith. They both sound like they have just eaten a wasp sandwich.

My take on Sutton, aapart from the fact that he is an utter trumpet, is that due to the fact that he's only relatively new as a pundit, he's trying to make a name for himself by deliberately being a nasty prick. Therefore making himself more employable than the likes of " nice / bland " Kevin Kilbane, Danny Murphy etc.
