He was a breath of polluted air for 2 full seasons. Koeman 7th Allardyce 8th it’s still better than El Fraudo overall let alone Moyes who was the most successful manager here since 2000.

Pal you rather keep someone who got the worst ever PL home record and 29% winning rate over 2 full seasons?

Pal?
It’s all a matter of opinion. Having been at virtually every home game of all four of those tenures (and the previous ones) and plenty of aways I base it on having a manager who went into games with the intention of winning...three of those never or very rarely did that. I prefer to base my opinion on what I see rather than what I hear or read. Having sat through Allardyces campaign I’d rather watch amateur chess than go through that drudgery again.
And Martinez was the only one of those who really understood Everton and it’s place in the community - without fail he represented this Club impeccably.....even if he had some tough times (primarily due to egotistical hyped-up players like Mirallas and Baines)on the pitch. For me, engaging with Everton and what we stand for is as important as what happens on the pitch. Players, managers and even fans come and go....Everton the Club is the one constant, and that should be the most important thing. I’m sure that’s not the opinion of the majority, but it’s very important to me....and for what it’s worth it’s one of the reasons I really liked Roberto. Allardyce was the antithesis of all that Everton are about...he’s still taking everyone breathing opportunity to troll the fans and disrespect the Club. If you’d rather that type of figurehead at Everton then that’s your prerogative. Koeman didn’t have any understanding of Everton whatsoever....it was designed as a stepping stone, but he too found out very quickly about the strength of the senior players in terms of the influence they had over others, and how easily they could rouse the down-toolers.

Not forgiven, but forgotten rather more easily if he could leave us with such a sweet memory.

I think such is the nature of decision making at Everton, often based on emotion and not logic it seems, it would ensure a 2nd season though it shouldn't.

Hopefully those days are gone, the club has clearly tried to indicate that at the Agm.
