Is 5th place secured?

I think at the start of the season if we'd been offered top 5, semi of the Carling plus just one defeat in ten games in Europe we'd have all taken it. If we can push on and get that 4th spot that would be something special, especially considering injuries are beginning to bite.

No, not based on our past two performances, we were lucky to get a point today and i'm now full of fear for the derby because of our lack of creativity and form, we can be pipped.

Not yet. Think that while we have a healthy lead over Pompey, Villa and Blackburn, they are still a threat. In addition, we have a tougher run in than most and are looking slightly off form at the moment.

I dont think its in any way secured mate, especially with games against Arsenal and Chelsea to come, if your being negative you could scratch them points straight away and if we dont up out game we might well loose both.

Though i predict a lot more twists and turns before the seasonis out.

We're looking tired. The injuries seem to be piling up too which is unfortunate as it wasn't so many weeks ago that we appeared to have a full squad to pick from.

I feel the same let's hope another long week before our next game would give time for our player to recover from it.

With 7 points ahead of Portsmouth and 8 points ahead of the other team closely behind I feel we have at least secured our 5th place, the point is can we catch up and get 4th place is a question which might be answer after the Derby match.

I just keep looking at those last four matches against Arsenal, Villa, Chelsea, and Newcastle and I think nothing's guaranteed right now.

On current form, we're gonna need every point we've got right now.

I'm not even thinking about trying to get that fourth spot as I think it's just a tad out of reach now with today's draw.

Av We Burnt Out??

Todays game was a big dissapointment, but to come away with a valuable point is a bonus aven just watched the match. It was a shame to see Cahil go off so early on in the game and what a chance for Fernandez to take, but again, we have been let down with another dismal performance that we have witnessed this season.Get shut Moysey!!Jags was at sixes & sevens which is his first bad game at center back lets hope he gets his confidence back coz Torres could have a field day next week!
Lets hope we stuff the red [Poor language removed] and send the Geordie's down at the end of the season, how good would that be??(y)

i'm certainly still very nervous, it would be horrible for all the hard work done early in the season to go to waste and slump to a 7th place finish or below. In saying the if we can turn around our poor form and beat the [Poor language removed] we are right back in with a shot at the CL.
Fingers crossed

Still a large gap and even if we lose next week, we should cash in against Derby. Think we'll be ok for 5th but not taking it for granted yet!
