Irvine In PNE Running

hmm... he certainly must have done his fair share in assisting Moyes, so, of course we would want him to stay and carry on helping us!

But we couldn't stand in his way when he is given a team to manage, it won't be fair on him, we should wish him luck if things turn out that way!

Assistants are underrated, they're almost as important as the manager in that they know what needs to happen, when, how and they know most of the teams game. Wouldnt be happy if he left, but then again he should never be stopped from taking a great managerial opportunity.

He is a good partner for Moyes, but I think it might be a good move for both of them. Irv gets to move in to proper management after years observing Moyes. Moyes can then pick and choose somebody else. Get fresh input, a new perspective. Hopefully somebody with a european pedigree that can teach Moyes a new way to play. Irv and Moyes seem to be very defensive minded so a new breath of tactical input would be welcome imho.

Good luck to him if he goes for it.

Stubbs has said something recently about going into training or something. Probably too early for him, who else would there be if we were to employ from within?

Looks like he's all but gone, according to the Echo.

Shame, but good luck to him. He seemed to have a pleasant outlook, and played the good cop to DM's hard man with the press (and possibly with the players?).
