True, they've never matched the heights of the 80s, but they're still good.
And actually, after listening to this album a couple of times (not enough to give any kind of judgement), it's impressing me so far. Rather epic in scale, and some belting songs. Not bad for people in their mid 50s

The new album just came out today, anyone listen to it yet? I'm listening to it as I type this.
Was about to start a thread, as I "got" the album about a week and a half ago (woohoo, torrents) but waited for it to officially come out to post stuff about it, so as not to spoil the album for other people.
Quite good, gotta say. I'm giving it 3.5 out of 5 pineapple pizzas.
(But 3.5 only because the first song on it is such a waste, "Satellite 15... The Final Frontier" = 
, stupid filler imo). The cover is awesome anyway.Waiting for the new Motorhead album now...

The cover's a proper retro throwback. Kind of like the album. It's like an Iron Maiden tribute album... by Iron Maiden, if that makes sense.
That said, some of the stuff is pretty darn good on there. But I'll reserve too much judgement until I've listened extensively. Good albums get better the more you listen to them.

Notice he said kiddies. Perhaps us younger folk have a different view on them, seeing as we don't remember the old albums with any sense of nostalgia. I started with Dance of Death, for example, so I've got into their old stuff retrospectively.

Same!! Although I started listening to them about a year and a half ago.
The more I listen to Final Frontier the more I'm liking it. And duality, I think Satellite 15....The Final Frontier is quite good, just the intro needs to be scrapped.
