I don't understand the Irish flag wielding either. The Socialist Party are trotsky communists, they are not nationalists. They don't believe in borders. They hate Shinners for the small minded nationalist bickering.

I grew up with these in a very republican town during the troubles and the Irish flag was claimed back from them by normal people in the Euros and the World Cup 88 and 90
I think they've laid claim to it again sadly as the national football team has waned
Lots of them as I was walking up Pearse Street and loads of Northerners down for the day
Lot of them blocking O'Connell Street when I was heading home
