Iphone help please

My son has just bought an IPhone 7 and we want to allow him data access, but not calls or texts.

Cant find any sim cards that are data only (they allow calls but charge for them) and cant find any settings on the iphone to allow data but not calls and texts.

Basically he spam calls/texts everyone for ages, he literally cant stop it.

Any advice anyone?

Have you tried covering him in sawdust and putting him in a tub of rice overnight?

Go to settings, mobile data, sim pin and switch it on, then set a pin only you and your wife know. Then restart the phone,I just tried it on my phone and I could browse but not make calls.

Didn't work, he needed the pin to start the phone, thanks for the suggestion though

If you don't put a sim in it and he just uses wifi? I think you can put a sim in to set it up - take the sim out and then use wifi?

Hmm, he needs the sim for the data though. We want him to have access to data on the go, but not calls and messages if possible. Sorry, it wasn't wifi that's that issue, it's data, he needs it, but not the stuff that costs him his friends when he spam calls/text's them

Obsessive/compulsive behaviour is a sign of poor emotional health.
Rather than trying to control the iPhone, perhaps you could try to help your son get over his difficulties by finding the reason behind his behaviour ?
Communication between children and their parents has been seriously limited by smartphones, I binned mine years ago when I realised the damage they do, I´m sorry to hear you are in such a difficult situation and I hope that communication can be the solution as well as the problem.
