went to see this last night in 70mm IMAX. Not the best story (disappointing considering the premise) but an incredible piece of cinema and heartwarming that directors will still use film even though it's more expensive, more difficult to shoot and won't make as much money (Nolan could double his profits if they released it in 3D)

I'm not sure how many pictures in the country are showing it in 70mm imax (i went to national media museum in bradford) but i'd definitely recommend seeing it in that format. if not then imax or 35/70mm -- avoid digital like the plague

basically in digital you're not going to see as much as you would in 70mm. they crop bits out or compress the picture.

film has more texture, has a grainy quality. colours contrast better. it's a more immersive experience. it's like watching a film when you're a kid rather than the artificial digital stuff we see know which goes beyond real

There is a lot of fibre to Nolans films, they are a real experience in my opinion.

seen this sunday, its worth a watch...the music is fantastic, theres some very good emotional scenes, theres loads of dodgy dialogue and plot holes...but its a genuinely interesting piece of cinema and worth seeing, bit of a flawed masterpiece imo

yeah there was some hammy dialogue. plot holes are always going to crop up when you're dealing with space and time
