Shkodran Mustafi scored his first goal for Germany U20s against Italy (5th October). The defender then added another cap to his collection against Switzerland (10th Oct).

Apostolos Vellios picked up a slight injury playing for Greece U21s against San Marino (6th Oct) but recovered in time to score Greece's third goal in their U21 victory over Belarus (11th Oct).

Jack Rodwell played 90 minutes for England U21s in their 0-3 victory over Iceland (6th Oct) but missed the fixture against Norway after picking up a groin injury in training.

Ross Barkley came on as a late substitute in the same game, and then started against Norway (10th Oct) and assisted England's second goal in a 1-2 win.

Marouane Fellaini was suspended for Belgium's game with Kazakhstan but played against Germany (11th Oct) and scored Belgium's late consolation in a 3-1 loss. Belgium have failed to qualify for Euro 2012.

Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines were unused substitutes for England against Montenegro.

Diniyar Bilyaletdinov was left out of Russia's first game but scored after coming on as a substitute against Andorra (11th Oct) - the Russians won 6-0 and have qualified for Euro 2012.

Seamus Coleman did not see any international action. Left out of the Ireland squad for the first game, he was an unused substitute against Armenia (11th Oct). Ireland clinched a play-off spot.

Ján Mucha played in both Slovakia's games, a 0-1 loss to Russia and a 1-1 draw with Macedonia.

Joseph Yobo played for Nigeria against Guinea. The Fenerbahce loanee and the Super Eagles' captain could only manage a 2-2 draw meaning they hae failed to qualify for the African Cup of Nations 2012. Which means Everton will not lose Victor Anichebe in January. Yobo's Nigeria also drew 0-0 with Ghana at Vicarage Road (11th Oct).

Tim Howard was the USA man of the match after pulling off a string of fine saves in the USA's friendly win over Honduras. Our no.1 (24) then played in the 0-1 loss to Ecuador.

Shane Duffy also got his name on an international scoresheet, netting Ireland U21s fourth goal in their 1-4 victory in Liechtenstein.

And yeah, I know, international football is ****e etc etc...

Haha, I love supporting Everton.

Great up, thanks dude

So much for the Belgian take over of European Football!

As a Turkish national team fan, not sad. Hope they beat Croatia - that should be an epic couple of games based on what happened in 2008.
